Don't Be An Anonymous Author

As I mentioned before the trustworthiness of your site will greatly affect your SEO rankings. So it it a good ideal to clearly identify yourself with as much information possible as the author of your pages. Keep your contact information up to date and provide as much information as possible.  If your running a personal site or blog identify yourself with you correct name and date of birth. It would also be a good idea to provide your highest level of education and your profession or occupation. If it is a company website provide on the site all the important details of your company. The reason why is that search engines like to know where and from who the website information is coming from. This will better enable them to judge the trustworthiness and reliability of the information posted on your site. Sites written by anonymous authors might be viewed with skepticism and may be ignored by search engines. Search engines like to know exactly who is posting the information on your site so it is best to be a transparent author.
The best way to provide this information is have a contact page or link on your blog or website. Your contact page should contain all of the pertinent information on your business or company. If your site is a personal site your contact page should contain your real name, age and if possible at least the state that you reside in.  Also always provide a way for anyone to contact you either by phone or e-mail. This will show search engines that you are readily available and you have nothing to hide.

Be visible as an author by providing a contact page.
