Even though most search engines will eventually find your site through their crawling bots it is always a good idea to submit your site to Google and other search engines(like Yahoo, Bing etc.).

After you submit your sites to Google make sure that you verify your sites using one of the various methods available. Through your Google Webmaster Console you will be able to submit sitemaps of your websites. Google Webmaster Tools will show how each of your sites is being indexed(searched) including crawl errors and improvement tips. They will also provide you with statistics on how many of your pages are actually being crawled and indexed. Using the various tools available through your Google Webmaster Console will prove invaluable in improving the search engine ranking of your sites.
